Championing Skills and Second Chances for Teenage Mothers
At Croton Motors, our mission goes beyond providing reliable, high-quality vehicles — we believe in being part of something bigger. That’s why on Saturday, 7th June 2025, we were honored to sponsor and actively participate in the Birth & Beyond Charity Run – Run for Skills, held at Nairobi Chapel, Rongai.
This wasn’t just a sporting event; it was a call to action, a show of solidarity, and a celebration of resilience. The run brought together hundreds of people united by a shared goal: empowering teenage mothers with the skills and support they need to rebuild their lives.
What is Birth & Beyond?
Birth & Beyond Kenya is a grassroots organization founded with a clear purpose — to give young mothers a second chance. What started as a small outreach project by concerned community members and health professionals has grown into a full-fledged initiative that offers vocational training, mentorship, and emotional support to teenage mothers who often find themselves isolated and economically vulnerable.
Recognizing the struggles that come with early motherhood — from societal stigma to lack of education and opportunity — Birth & Beyond steps in to bridge the gap. Their training programs span areas such as tailoring, hairdressing, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. The goal? To help these young women gain not only skills but also confidence and independence.
A Hilly Journey — In Every Sense
As proud sponsors, the Croton Motors team didn’t just fund the event — we laced up and hit the trail for the 10KM run. And it wasn’t a walk in the park. The route wound through steep hills, deep valleys, and flat stretches, testing both our endurance and determination.
Despite the physical demands, we pushed on, driven by the cause and the knowledge that every kilometer we conquered would help change someone’s life. By the finish line, we were tired — but deeply fulfilled.
Why We Chose to Be Involved
