About Croton Motors

Francis

Francis is the Managing Director of Croton Motors. In this capacity he oversees all business operations, offering strategic guidance to drive sales strategy and business generation.

He brings extensive automobile experience to this role, fueled by over 15 years in the field of ICT. Further, he reads and speaks fluent Japanese, having lived and worked in Japan for 10 years. This gives Croton Motors a unique advantage when buying vehicles from Japanese auctions, and negotiating with Japanese dealers and partners.

Francis previously worked for the Softbank Group in Tokyo, with his flagship project being the development of a B2C vehicle listing website (Trade Carview) which revolutionized online sales of Japanese cars to the rest of the world.

Before founding Croton Motors (formerly trading as Jap Imports Ltd), He established and run Excia E.A Ltd, a Japanese car import company that popularized Japanese auctions among dealers in the Kenyan automobile market.

He holds a Diploma in IT from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Media from the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Oita, Japan.

While not at work, Francis grows vegetables in Laikipia- both for the local market and for export. He also enjoys hiking, camping, planting trees, playing chess and watching nature programs.

Sophie

Sophie is the Operations Director at Croton motors. In this capacity she handles vehicle logistics both for imports and local sales. She is also in charge of the day-to-day running of the company including liaising with clients as well as overseas and local partners.

Sophie obtained her bachelor’s degree from the Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Oita, Japan. She later attended graduate school at the International University of Japan in Niigata, a place famously known as ‘snow country’.

During her 8-year stay in Japan she got the chance to interact with different cultures and travel to different parts of the world. Most importantly, working in Japan exposed her to the incomparable Japanese work ethic, from which she drew lasting life lessons. She strives to approach her work at Croton Motors the same way.

While not at work, Sophie enjoys jogging, hiking and camping with her family. She is not exactly sure when she crossed over to the ‘outdoorsy side’.  She spends way too much time watching baking shows with her kids, and trying out new recipes.

As far as dream cars go- she is still undecided but it has to be a car that won’t struggle with the numerous speed bumps on Kenyan roads.

Charity

Meet Charity, the Sales Manager who knows how to get things done. She is known for her exceptional leadership skills, her ability to motivate her team and her extensive knowledge of the car sales industry.
As a Sales Manager, Charity is responsible for overseeing the sales team and ensuring that thedealership meets its sales goals. She leads by example and is always willing to roll up her sleeves and help out when needed.

Charity’s sales tactics are unique. She doesn’t believe in high pressure sales tactics or pushing customers into buying a car they don’t want. Instead, she encourages her team to take the time to get to know their customers and their needs. She believes that building a relationship with customers is the key to
making a sale.

She has a degree in Education Arts from The University of Eldoret and a Diploma in Digital Marketing. Her expertise comes in handy as she is an outgoing and interactive person.

Aside from work, she is a mom and enjoys spending quality time with her family, baking and having friends over for a glass of wine.
She would one day if not soon want to own a beautiful black Mercedes Benz G Wagon. A girl can dream right?

Sharon

Selling cars has transcended being merely a profession for Sharon Rutoh; it is a testament to her faith that dreams have no boundaries. Growing up in an environment where donkeys were the primary mode of transportation, she embraces the challenge of car sales with honor and determination to fulfill her clients’ needs.

Sharon is a certified supply chain professional, accredited by the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). Her expertise lies in vehicle imports, leveraging her market knowledge and global sourcing abilities acquired during her undergraduate studies in Procurement and Logistics Management at the Multimedia University.

What sets Sharon apart is her exceptional customer engagement. She genuinely takes the time to listen and understand her clients’ requirements, budget constraints, and preferences. Building strong relationships based on trust and understanding is of utmost importance to her. By tailoring her recommendations and providing personalized solutions, Sharon ensures that her customers’ needs are met to the fullest.

With an outstanding track record of success, Sharon has established herself as a go-to sales consultant in the industry. Her dedication, professionalism, and remarkable conversion rates make her an invaluable asset. She envisions herself behind the wheel of a Land Rover Range Rover Vogue, the ultimate cherry on top of her automotive aspirations.

In her spare time, Sharon finds joy in serving the community through Shield for the Young, a charitable organization she helped establish. The organization focuses on promoting menstrual hygiene and empowering teenage girls.

Kelvin

Kelvin Kiarie is a sales Executive at Croton motors, handling both the import and local vehicle sales department. He has a natural instinct of understanding clientele vehicle needs, exploring options and arriving at the perfect client preference as far as vehicles are concerned. His greatest joy is meeting customer needs in a satisfactory manner while achieving value for money for the clients.

Kelvin has a bachelors degree in Finance from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa main Campus, and an ACCA certificate from Strathmore University.

When not selling cars, Kelvin enjoys trading in the different financial markets, reading scholar books, watching and playing football, swimming, hiking, travelling and making the best cuisines the world has not tasted yet!

His dream car is the epitome of the automobile evolution in the 21st century, The Lamborghini Urus; a dream deeply etched at the bottom of his heart.

Ooh, he is an avid Chelsea FC fan too.

Bernice

Bernice is a dedicated Sales Executive with a passion for matching clients with their perfect vehicles. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are his palette, painting the canvas of the web with the brushstrokes of creativity. jQuery, Ruby, NodeJS, and ExpressJS form the notes of his digital sonnet, while PHP and Laravel PHP weave the intricate patterns of his web wizardry. In the labyrinth of databases, Luka is a seasoned navigator, speaking the languages of structured information with the fluency of a polyglot.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce Undergraduate Degree from Strathmore University, having specialized in Entrepreneurship and Finance.

He is also a driver through and through. For him, the perfect drive is when the car feels like an extension of your body—and honestly, he’d drive with no destination just for the joy of it.

As the company driver, Peter is in charge of all vehicle movement in the showroom. He is responsible for picking up and delivering vehicles to and from customers. He also takes prospective buyers on test drives and runs all official errands.

Around the showroom, Peter ensures that all vehicles are clean, fueled and ready for viewing by customers. He also ensures that the office space is clean and in order. The team relies on his agility and helpful nature to keep things moving behind the scenes.

While not at work, Peter enjoys going to the gym and playing football.

An avid Arsenal supporter since 2002, David copes with this choice by listening to music, playing videogames, camping, hiking, learning new programming techniques and the occasional cold Guinness.

David’s dream car is the Lexus LC500, in red, but he’ll settle for a Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Ninja

Ninja is not your average cat. He’s the boss of naps and snacks! His job? To relax everywhere—on desks, chairs, and even cars. He likes to keep an eye on things, but don’t let his sleepy look fool you. Ninja is always on duty, even if his eyes are half-closed.

But napping isn’t his only skill. Ninja is also a food inspector. 🍗 If you’re eating, he’ll meow and stare until you share. He’s very good at convincing humans to give him a bite. (Or two. Or three.)

When he’s not napping or begging for snacks, Ninja checks out cars. His way of inspecting? He lies on the hood or roof to make sure it’s comfy. If it’s warm from the engine, even better!

Ninja’s life is simple: Nap, eat, repeat. He’s living the dream, and he’s really good at it. So next time you see him chilling on your desk or car, remember—he’s not just a cat. He’s the Chief Napping Officer, and he’s doing a purr-fect job. 😹✨

Whiskers

Meet Whiskers, the cat who’s all about class and mystery. While Ninja is busy napping and snack-begging, Whiskers is out there living his best life, strolling through the yard like he owns it. (Spoiler: he probably does.) 🚶‍♂️ He doesn’t need to beg for attention—he’s too cool for that. Cars? He walks through them like they’re invisible. Humans? He tolerates them, but only if they’re worthy.

Whiskers is the kind of cat who doesn’t ask for food—he deserves it. 🍖 If you’re eating, he’ll give you a look that says, “You know what to do.” No meowing, no begging—just pure, quiet confidence. He’s the well-mannered gentleman of the cat world, and he knows it.

Together, Ninja and Whiskers make the ultimate team. Ninja keeps things relaxed (and well-fed), while Whiskers keeps things classy and mysterious. Their mission? To make sure Croton Motors runs smoothly—or at least looks good while doing it.
